He was appointed Managing Director of SembCorp Logistics India or Semblog in short (renamed as Toll Logistics India) in August 2003 to middle of 2009 and was instrumental to transform the company because of leadership crisis in the company. Under him, Semblog India is the only company during that point in time and also the first entity among the Group to win two Frost and Sullivan Award for best logistics service provider in India in 2005 and 2007. He was the President of the Singapore India Business Association in Chennai India for four years.
Nelson was country manager of Toll Thailand, he successfully broadened strategic collaboration with India, China and Singapore markets. He began his carrier with Singapore Technologies Logistics later renamed SembCorp Logistics which is in the defence logistics sector. He was the Senior Vice President in charge of the freight management business Division. He has more than 40 + years of experience in manufacturing, training and supply chain management and had conducted many collaboration and cooperation with Global industries: Thomson Consumer Electronics, Timex, Rockwell Automotive, Litronix and Rockwell Electronics.and Singapore Precision Industries. He holds a Master degree in Business Administration from UK.
